Trip Plan: Launch at St Heliers Boat Ramp, Head out towards East beaches of Rangitoto. Continue around to Home Bay. Land and setup camp. If paddlers are keen, head out to Sandy Bay at Rakino. Return and spend night at home bay.
Following morning, return via Motuihe Island and Browns Island
This trip is weather dependent. The cost of the camp sites are $10 and can be booked at Home Bay, Motutapu Island conservation campsite: Motutapu Island Recreation Reserve, Auckland region. I would recommend only booking once confirmation that the trip is proceeding (2 days before).
What to bring (recommended, but not exhaustive list):
There is water on Motutapu Island, however it is untreated and it is recommended to bring a method of purifying water if you are wanting to use it.
